I will forever be grateful to Brendan for not hurrying into parenthood because we benefited from Barbara's and Liam's lack of grandchildren. They really enjoyed getting to spend time with their great nieces and nephews on this side of the pond, and the feeling was quite mutual. Their visits were anticipated with all of the joy that would be expected with the visit of another set of grandparents and every gift that they sent of brought with them is still treasured as special mementos from Barbara and Liam as well as that foreign land of England. I am pretty sure that by this visit Frankie had arrived and maybe Jamie as well, but thankfully the bonds had already formed so we were blessed with this visit and maybe a one or two more.
